Super Puppy University
Puppies are adorable … and exhausting work. Wouldn’t you like to have a puppy who is already trained? Who is already housetrained, and has learned not to be a little shark? One who walks by your side, comes when called, and more? Training your puppy right from the start makes your life easier. It’s also better for the puppy, as he gets the best start in life. That’s why we created our Super Puppy University. Here’s how it works:
You pick up your puppy, typically between 8 and 9 weeks old, and within 24 hours, take it to your veterinarian for a health check. Then you bring your puppy straight to us. We raise your puppy in our home, just as we would our own. In four weeks, your puppy will learn:
- Housetraining, either to eliminate outside (with ringing a bell) or on pee pads, your choice
- Crate training
- How to chew on toys instead of you, the furniture, charge cables, etc.
- Sitting for petting instead of jumping on you
- Coming when called
- Sit, down, and stay
- Walking nicely without pulling on leash
- Off leash heeling
- Waiting at doors instead of bolting outside
- Go to place
- Socialization to people, other dogs, different environments – important to help prevent fear and aggression later
Included are weekly lessons so you can learn how to work with your puppy. These are critical to the program’s success, and we are one of the few dog training companies to offer this. Without your participation, your puppy will not listen to you when you bring him home.
We will train your puppy using modern, scientific methods, the latest information on puppy development, reward-based training, and lots of kisses and affection. Learn how we get results. Another benefit of our Super Puppy University is that graduates are welcome to board with us for life, and all of them consider us their second home.
Our Super Puppy University is an exclusive program, typically limited to only one puppy at a time. The best chance for getting in is to reserve a space before you get your puppy. Contact us to find out how, or to get more information.

We are specialists in canine behavior. When it comes to training, our credentials are hard to top. What program are you researching? Do they offer multiple, in-person lessons, or just videos you’re supposed to watch and know how to train your puppy? What training education and credentials do the trainers have? If you will not get your puppy until he is past the critical socialization period (12 weeks), will your puppy ever get off the breeder’s property for necessary socialization? If you’re going to pay extra for training, make sure you’re choosing a quality program.
Yes! Puppies usually finish their vaccinations at 16 weeks. That’s plenty of time for bad habits to develop, habits that will take longer and be more expensive to fix. It’s also past the critical socialization period, so you’re too late for proper socialization. It’s much more beneficial to you and the puppy to get started on training right away. Of course we follow safety precautions to prevent diseases. This is completely in line with every major veterinary organization in the country. (Get details.) Please know that if anyone is advising you not to socialize your puppy or get him out until after he gets all his shots, this is outdated advice that can impact your puppy’s ability to function in the world throughout adulthood.
Sure! The main difference is that you will do all the work. As professional dog trainers, we can get faster progress and better results. If you prefer to train at home, we offer in-home lessons and recommend you start as soon as you bring your puppy home.
Yes. We teach puppies to be social and to enjoy the company of people. When you bring your puppy home and begin training and feeding him, he’ll bond with you quickly. Remember, you’ll also be coming for weekly lessons, so you won’t be a complete stranger.
